On Wednesday 11th June 2008, three Year 8 students, Ikenna Okorie, Samantha Dowdle, and Laura Townsend, took part in the Salters' Festival of Chemistry at South Bank University, London. The London South Bank University Festival was one of 52 events that took place across the United Kingdom this year. The day's activities were intended to give students an idea of what it is like to be a practising chemist. During the day, the students had to take part in two different Science challenges, the Salters' challenge and the University challenge. The students from Saint Paul's worked very hard, contributed to the day very well, and came second in the University challenge.
