Year 11 students visit Berlin
The first international History trip of 2017 that we as a History department organised was to Berlin where we spent four days and three nights exploring the historical sights of Berlin City. We were very busy with activities each day that linked in effectively with the new GCSE curriculum. Students got the opportunity to visit key places such as the prison camp Hohenschonhausen, concentration camp Sachsenhausen, the Jewish museum and the House of Wansee-Conference. We were also assisted with excellent tour guides for each activity who shared great historical knowledge with students and staff. Our students were excellent ambassadors of St Paul's at all times being very respectful on all activities and in the public eye. They learned many key information that they were able to share with others who did not go on the trip. Students really enjoyed this trip and we are hoping to run this trip every academic year for different year groups.
