On Thursday 27th April, representatives from Google Expeditions came to to St Paul's to help us run workshops students from Year 8, 9 and 10. This was organised by Miss Kelleher from the Science department.
Google Expeditions is a new app developed by Google to open up the classroom for an immersive learning experience and a new tool to help us demonstrate our teachings. They brought in 60 phones, 60 Google Cardboards and 2 tablets to run the Expeditions from. Students were taken on a virtual reality field trip!
Students 'went' on trips to Mount Everest, The Great Wall of China, Solar System, Great Barrier Reef, Cern, Iceland,The Amazon and the International Space Station to name but a few!
