Today, fifteen of our Year 10 students had the incredible opportunity to visit our Cambridge link college, Gonville and Caius, for an enriching day exploring university life and future aspirations.
Our visit began with an insightful session led by the school’s liaison officer, who provided a deep dive into the unique aspects of university life at Cambridge, highlighting the collegiate structure and the small group tutorial system that sets Oxbridge apart. This was followed by an engaging Q&A session with current undergraduates, who shared their personal experiences, covering everything from interviews to student societies.
A definite highlight was dining in the prestigious Stephen Hawking Dining Hall, where students enjoyed a superb three-course meal. The day concluded with an inspiring lecture by Dr. Rebecca Williams, a leading neuroscientist, who captivated our students with her research on the human brain and the rising challenges of dementia in an ageing population.
It was an engaging and thought-provoking experience, and we hope it has ignited a passion in our students to consider applying to Oxbridge in the future.
