The week of the 10th of July was an outstanding week for the Performance Arts Learning Zone.
The 8th Annual St. Paul’s Academy Music Festival took place running in conjunction with the School Production of ‘Simba’s Pride’.
The Festival included four performances from Artists; Yo, Silvastone, Deborah and Shomari. The performers entertained a full assembly hall creating a brilliant atmosphere in the school over the course of the week all leading up to the final day.

Friday the 14th brought about an amazing showcase of the talent here in St. Paul’s Academy. A range of Instrument categories from Voice to Piano and even Battle of the Band’s led to an outstanding winner’s finale in the afternoon where our participants awed the audience of students and teachers.
The day finished up with the St. Paul’s Young Musician of the year 2017 being awarded to Year 10 students Asanda Jezile who wowed judges and audience alike with her performance of ‘I have nothing’ by Whitney Houston.
The Music Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to all performers, participants and staff for the support throughout the week and are happy to say that the Musical spirit is alive and well and thankfully ever growing in St. Paul’s Academy.
