Following the highly successful trip that took place last year, Ms Darby, with the help of the History department, organised and ran another successful trip to Berlin. We spent three days and two nights exploring the historical sites that Berlin had to offer. We were very busy with activities each day that linked in effectively with the new GCSE curriculum. Students got the opportunity to visit key places such as the Stasi prison camp Hohenschonhausen, Sachsenhausen concentration camp, a walking tour focusing on the divide between East & West Berlin and the House of Wansee-Conference. We were also assisted with excellent tour guides for each activity who shared great historical knowledge with students and staff. Our students were excellent ambassadors for St Paul's Academy and were very respectful throughout. They learned key information that they were able to share with others who were unable to go on the trip. Students really enjoyed their time in Berlin and we are hoping to run this trip again next year.
